Amarnath Yatra: First batch reaches Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam | KNO

Anantnag, June 30 (KNO): The first batch of 3488 Amarnath pilgrims reached Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday afternoon. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the first batch was warmly welcomed by locals at KP road in Anantnag and were presented with garlands and bouquets. Surish Raina, a pilgrim said they are happy with the arrangements made by the government and will pray for peace and prosperity of the country. The 62-day annual Amarnath Yatra will commence from tomorrow and will continue till August 31—(KNO)
